Tougher Auto Emissions and Mileage Rules

Today in the New York Times, it is reported that President Obama will announce on Tuesday tougher regulations on auto emissions along with better fuel economy requirements. All I can say “it is a about time someone did something about this”. Having various state standards gave car manufacturers ways to circumvent tougher regulations. We are one nation, we should have one set of emission standards that every car manufacturer in the US adheres to. 
MaoBama said in a speech he doesn’t want to run the automobile business yet he order Chrysler to go bankrupt, he order GM to go bankrupt and a dummy government corp. holding the assets, he has set the new CAFE standards. Hummmm strange how things he says don’t match what he does, yet no one cares.
